How much wet food does a cat need per day?
Various factors play a role in calculating a cat’s daily food requirements, among others, age, weight and activity. Our specialist vet, Dr Radicke will be happy to calculate the ideal amount of wet food specifically for your cat. The following recommended amounts can be used as a rough guideline:
- if the cat weighs 3 kg, it should be given 175 g food per day
- if it weighs 4 kg, it can be given 200 g of food daily
- a cat weighing 5 kg should receive 245 g of cat food a day
